Terenzuola has a deep-rooted history of family and opportunity, purchased by the Giuliani family after they moved back to Italy from America during the Great Depression. They used their savings to buy a 3 hectare piece of land, which has grown into the vineyards of Terenzuola, stewarded by Ivan Giuliani.
Ivan is the third generation to inherit this land, working with his uncle when he was younger to bottle wine for local restaurants. After being called away to serve in the military, Ivan returned to the estate, driven by a passion for sustainable winemaking and a respect for the land. In 2007, he renovated the cellars and expanded the estate, later incorporating a centuries-old Cinque Terre vineyard with its distinct, terraced hillsides.
