Rosalba Vitanza made her first wine in 1995, while still working as a Philosophy Professor and studying Enology. She was so taken with the land and the process of making wine that she left her teaching job and, together with her husband Guido, bought their first vineyards in 2002. Guido sold his aerospace consulting business to focus on developing their wine business and used his skills to design a state of the art winery, which became the only winery in Montalcino powered by self-sustaining renewable energy. Rosalba's intention is to do everything with respect for the land, the grapes, and the nature of the wine.
