Nicola and Emanuele Altieri's parents bought the land for the purpose of growing and selling grapes for other wineries. However, after helping with harvest, these two bothers fell in love with the process and decided to start making their own wine. Neither studied winemaking, but they spent 10 years experimenting, tasting with friends and fellow winemakers, and learning as they went. What they found was more than good wine. They found their own personality and understanding of the terroir. Today, Emanuele is the winemaker as well as the artist who creates the drawings for their labels.
