Residing in the Boca DOC in Piemonte, one of the smallest and Northernmost appellations of Italy, Davide Carlone is helping to keep a piece of Italian winemaking history alive. With the rise of industrial jobs in nearby Milan and Turin, the land in Boca was left to become overgrown, eliminating much of the usable vineyard area. Thankfully, Davide Carlone has been farming here since the 1980s, utilizing just 8.6 acres of land to make Boca wine from vines dating back as far as 100 years.
